Competence and proficiency are important components of the CMA Alberta Code of Ethics and it is the duty of every Member to uphold and foster the competence and prestige of the accounting profession.
CMAs hold positions of utmost trust in organizations and as such, owe a professional standard of care to employers, clients, fellow members and the public at large. As a self-regulating professional designation, CMA Alberta’s core mandate is to protect the public. Accordingly, prior registrants that had their registration cancelled may apply for reinstatement subject to the following provisions.
