CMA requires applicants to meet prerequisite requirements before enrolling in a CMA program. Applicants can meet these requirements in a variety of ways. Click on the links below for more information about how to start your path to the CMA designation.

Option 1: Obtain a degree that includes all prerequisites

If your degree meets all 16 prerequisite courses, you may write the Entrance Exam directly.

Option 2: Obtain a recognized degree and complete the missing prerequisites through the CMA Accelerated Program

Degree holders who are missing some of the Entrance Exam prerequisites can take the CMA Accelerated Program.

Option 3: Graduate from a CMA Accredited Program

Students who graduate from a CMA Canada Accredited Program will be exempt from writing the CMA Entrance Exam and can enter directly into the CMA Strategic Leadership Program.
