If the degree you hold meets all 16 prerequisites, you may challenge the CMA Entrance Exam directly. If your degree does not meet the 16 prerequisites courses, you have the option of taking the remaining courses through a post-secondary institution of your choice or by enrolling in the CMA Accelerated Program to fulfill the prerequisite requirements.

For a full list of required prerequisite courses and their equivalents at Alberta universities and colleges, please view the course matrix. Students must achieve a minimum of 60 per cent in each prerequisite course to be eligible to write the Entrance Exam.

Applying for the Entrance Exam

Once you've obtained your degree and CMA prerequisites, CMA Alberta will need to complete a transcript evaluation to determine your eligibility to write the CMA Entrance Exam.

**Students who graduate from a CMA Accredited Program will be exempt from writing the CMA Entrance Exam and will enrol directly into the Strategic Leadership Program. See the Accredited Programs page for detailed information.
