Step 1: Become a CMA associate and have your transcripts evaluated

Sign up to become a CMA Associate
Becoming an associate enables you to receive free transcript evaluations by CMA Alberta. It also offers a number of benefits and opportunities including:

  • an invitation to attend the CMA Advantage Dinner (for post-secondary students only);
  • a ticket to the prestigious CMA Corporate Career Connections;
  • access to the CMA Alberta job bank;
  • opportunities to network with Alberta's top employers; and
  • email blasts about upcoming CMA events and deadlines.

You can either fill out the online application form or download the associate application form and fax, email or mail the form back to CMA Alberta.

CMA Alberta transcript evaluations
Once you sign up as a CMA associate, you will need to submit your transcripts to CMA Alberta for a free transcript evaluation. The transcript evaluation confirms your eligibility to write the CMA Entrance Exam and ensures you meet the required CMA course prerequisites. The transcript review also helps CMA Alberta's accreditation department advise you on the most efficient way to complete any missing prerequisites and which CMA professional program best suits your needs.

If you are still in school and want to see which prerequisites still need to be obtained, please fax your unofficial transcripts to 403.262.5477 or email them to Jodi Bergeron. For an official transcript evaluation*, please send original unopened copies of your transcripts from your post-secondary institution to:

International transcript evaluations
If you obtained your university education from outside of Canada, you will need to submit an original, certified English translation of your university transcripts and any previous qualification assements, along with a completed associate application form, to CMA Alberta. If we are unable to evaluate your transcripts or if we require more information about your completed courses, you may need to use the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

If requested, CMA Alberta will be able to mail back your original transcripts. If you have questions about submitting your transcripts for evaluation, please contact:
