Step 3: CMA Entrance Examination
Before you enter a CMA professional program you must pass the Entrance Exam, which is held twice each year -
in June and October. The objective of the exam is to test for the required competency in technical accounting
and a thorough understanding of strategy and management.
Please note that Business Law will be a prerequisite course for the June 2013 Entrance Exam. Click here for a list of courses from post-secondary schools.
Length
The exam is four hours long and is comprised of approximately 100-120 multiple-choice questions. The pass
mark is 60%. See the exam resources page for more

Cost
$950 plus GST
Note: Fee includes automatic enrolment in the CMA Entrance
Exam Preparation Program.
Registration and payment options
• Register online to pay by credit card if you have already had your transcripts evaluated and you
are eligible to write the Entrance Exam.
• Fill out the Entrance Exam registration form to
pay by cheque, money order, credit card or online banking.
Entrance Exam re-writes
Students attempting the Entrance Exam for a second or third time are eligible for a discounted rate of $500
plus GST. To receive the re-write rate, please fill out the Entrance Exam registration form.
