CMA Calgary Chapter
CMA Calgary Chapter February luncheon
Speaker: Murray Howland, CMA of Sunshine Village
The CMA-Alberta Calgary Chapter is pleased to present Murray Howland, CMA as the speaker for the
February chapter luncheon.
Topic
We certainly all have our challenges. We can't do anything about the weather, but there are ways for the
Albertan Outdoor and Tourism industry to respond to changing market conditions. Canadian households are
cutting back and the consumer confidence is low. Americans are buffeted by political turbulence and suffering
from the housing market hangover. Europeans are fixated on the fiscal instability. Emerging markets for
Alberta tourism will take years to develop.
About the speaker
At Sunshine, Murray Howland focuses on achieving an appropriate blend of "Mountain" and "Corporate" culture
and will discuss his experiences at the luncheon. He obtained his CMA designation in 1981 and held various
positions within the banking industry while teaching and providing consulting services.
