May’s luncheon host, Marissa Adams, CMA is featured in this month’s “Get to know your Chapter
Executive”. Marissa claims to be boring, but who could be boring when they are stopped at airport
security!
1. My very first job was: Hostess at IHOP in grade 9
2. My worst vacation experience involved: Getting stopped at security at Amsterdam's
Shiphol airport - my sister and I must've looked suspicious in our 20's!
3. My favorite cartoon growing up was: Hercules - dating myself...
4. The farthest I have ever been from home is: Singapore I think
5. The strangest thing I have ever eaten is: Abalone in a soup in South Korea -
delicious but moving in the bowl, It almost made me faint before I consumed it!
6. My hidden talent is: Being able to cook anything in a slow-cooker
7. The most dangerous thing I have ever done is: Cross-country/3-day Eventing
(equestrian)
8. If I could switch lives with anyone of this planet, I would choose: For a day - any
PGA or LPGA player
9. My toughest accomplishment so far was: Having a baby Module 5 of my CMA and
returning to work during Module 7
10. The best gift I ever received was: My kids
11. You just HAVE to see this movie: The Third Man (if you don't mind black and white)
12. The best thing I ever won was: A trip to Hawaii

Topic: The 101 on P3 Projects
The Anthony Henday project is one local example of a P3
project, but this financing structure is used around the world for large infrastructure projects. Attend our
May 2013 luncheon to listen to Steve Richards who will share his practical experience with the P3 structure,
financing model and opinion on the future for the P3 Model. Steve Richards is the Deputy General
Counsel for the PCL family of companies. Steve was recruited as the successor to the organization's incumbent
General Counsel, Doug Stollery, and will assume these new duties in 2013. In his 20+ year career, Steve has
served as an executive and in-house counsel in a variety of project-related capacities, including most
recently as the Senior Vice President of Shared Services at Infrastructure Ontario, and previously as counsel
at Johnson Controls and Bombardier. Steve began his legal career at Gowlings LLP. He is a member of the Law
Societies of Alberta and Upper Canada.

Golf Tournament
Shine up your golf clubs and break out the sunscreen!
Once again, we are pleased to be working with Junior Achievement as our Charity of Choice. Junior Achievement
is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship
and financial literacy through experimental, hand-on programs. At JA Northern Alberta they reach over 16,000
students per year and they've got big plans to expand their reach. This is all possible through a partnership
between the business community, educators and volunteers who work together to inspire young people to reach
their dreams and tap into their potential.

Night at the Races at Northlands Park

get together for a casual night of thoroughbred racing at Northlands Park. Enjoy the evening in a
