Mandatory post-designation learning was implemented in Alberta on July 1, 2000 at the direction of the CMA
Alberta board of directors. For more information, please read the CMA Alberta CPLD policy. Questions The CPLD Policy includes samples of qualifying professional development and the number of hours you are required to complete. All certified CMA Alberta members are required to: Note: The manual form is not to be submitted to CMA. Please view the CPLD reporting from, located on the right-hand index. 2) Retain documentation to support all verifiable activities for a period of two fiscal years. (CMA fiscal year ends June 30) 3) Annually, complete a declaration, indicating compliance. The annual declaration will be included each year with the Member Dues notice and may be completed online. 4) Provide CMA Alberta with your CPLD reporting form or online CPLD report and supporting documentation if you are randomly selected for audit. CPLD Online Reporting CMA Alberta members can choose to either complete a manual CPLD form or record activities online. The online system will provide you with a history of your entries, which may be printed in a report format for your personal use. Whether you enter your credits online or choose to complete the CPLD manual reporting form, you must retain supporting documentation for a period of two fiscal years as all CPLD is subject to audit.
